Robin Stewart is the Founder and Host of “A Jazz Life.”
Her sunny personality and generous spirit are the driving forces behind
the program. Robin has a unique ability to create a comfortable and
knowledgeable climate in her show that lets Jazz artists open up and
engage in intimate conversation.
That’s not surprising considering her background. She’s known and
lived the entertainment world from the inside out. Robin got her start
singing in television commercials as a child. She went on to sing
backup for Ike and Tina Turner. Then there was the comedy performance
stint with the West Coast improv group “The Committee.”
She’s worked as an entertainment journalist; had business jobs at
NBC, Paramount, Infinity Records, EMI Records and ABC Records; and as
she puts it, “probably had more jobs than most.”
All this experience gives the Jazz musicians who sit down with
Robin the comfortable feeling of talking to someone who knows the
business, knows the music and knows what it’s like to “let each
instrument be heard.”
